About the Artist
Philip began his artistic career in the 1960ʼs studying at Long Beach State and UCLA graduating with a degree in fine arts. In 2001, after retiring from a successful career in business, Phil returned to his passion for art.
Philip has studied with the late James Wasil, Jacqueline Nicolini, and most recently in Lucerne, Switzerland with Christiane Kutra-Hauri. Art lovers from New York, San Francisco, San Diego, and Switzerland have added Philʼs work to their collections. Traveling and studying for a year in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain has influenced, inspired, and broadened Philʼs drawings and paintings.
The light, color, and architecture of Europe are reflected in his latest works. Phil resides in Coronado, California painting in his studio and enjoying the good life with his wife Karen and dogs Rosie, Angelo, and Rigi.
